Cooking fabric and technical improvements – completed under CDM

Our client has a 7 day a week, 24 hour a day operation supplying many National food chains.  After careful planning, KDH were able to implement a major fabric and technical improvement with no loss or interuption of end user supply.

One of the cooking processes on site is frying, this has caused staining to the panels.  The task was to remove the panels and install new, with a stainless steel face to give the client a firebox for the insurance requirements and also to provide outstanding aesthetic and technical performance.

The drainage and flooring in the area had lost integrity from oil penetration in the slab and large potential harbour point for bacteria along the channel drain.  The decision of upgrading the whole area of the flooring wth new enveloped polyurethrane floor to a single outlet to minimise harbour point potential on both technical and value engineered values was undertaken by KDH.

The placement of order for new ovens allowed KDH the opportunity to provide a turnkey solution for the client, including new gas installation as well as ventilation for clean air exhaust removing odours at all times from the expelled air.  The ovens were sited in specialist built pits complete with drainage and new flooring screed.  Works completed and comissioned within the live facility in a negative air pressure controlled environment.
