Scottish Bakers

KDH

were delighted to be a category sponsor of the Scottish bakers World Championship.  After meeting so many passionate and deserving bakers on the day it was great to see the awards filled with anticipation and excitement on the day.

The awards were an early year highlight , with Carol Smillie again at the helm following her successful night presenting the Food Manufacturer awards at the end of 2016. It was good to once again meet with Carol Smillie on stage, as KDH managing director Kevin Haynes presented the awards to 17 of the days winners.

Stewart Walker (Stewart@kdhprojects.co.uk) was in attendance from our KDH Glasgow office, with the cold snap looming it was easy for Stewart to attend the awards from KDH at Glasgow business park.  After meeting with existing clients and hopefully some new, Stewart looks to have a busy period ahead.  After an organic company growth in Scotland since 2010 by word of mouth and major multiple recommendation, KDH have invested in the development of its trades and working practices to provide the support and service needed and expected by the food industry here in Scotland.

Following on from successfully delivered projects on time and on budget, from literally the East, North and West coasts with the passion and integrity on coldstores, resin flooring, stainless steel drainage, refrigeration and electrical installations. Scotland has seen KDH employ more full time specialist teams and train them to meet the kdh and food industry standard needed.  KDH and Stewarts position in Glasgow has enabled successful projects and small works to be delivered with full local support

On the day this was evident, with happy customers sharing their experiences of kdh with their piers.  The presentation of the World Championship Awards was summarised by Kevin Haynes on the day and in the winners listings

“Your award is the result of your hard work and efforts and a fearless spirit. You earned your title and it always reminds you of your dedication. Give your best always. Congratulations for your acheivements in winning”

Whether a Baker or Butcher , ready meals, ingredients, frozen or fresh produce, we all share a dedication and passion to food, kdh are food people

On the day, the Taste of the Trossachs, Callandar, Breakfast pie was a deserving winner , winning hot savoury and Macleans Cup.  Overall world champions Brownings bakers showcased throughout the awards in all categories, before taking the world championship crown. We congratulate all the winners and hope to see them all next year or hopefully much sooner as we continue to work with them throughout the year.
